To what degree have I actually controlled the course my life has taken thus far?Coach Niko here. I'm turning 28 years old today! I read this question and thought perfect timing because I was not expecting this year to be what it is on this day. This year has been full of surprises of ups and downs. Lots of things that none of us could have ever planned for. We all had to adapt and push forward. We are all seeing that life has its own agenda and we are all here for the ride. No one truly has control over their future and tomorrow. We think we do but we can plan all we like but when life says this is happening... life can change in the blink of an eye. I have realized in the years of my life up to 28 that every time I try and take control of the situation and think so hard about how to fix it... it gets worst.
A great quote to live by, "If you worry then you suffer twice". This has been something I try to remember every day. If I can just accept the situation for what it is and move through it then I will deal with the consequences either way.
The mind is a powerful thing and it has the ability to perform many amazing tasks. It also has true power over the body. If you let your mind control the body it can make you sick, literally. It can give you symptoms that are truly in your head. Studies show that once certain patients mastered their stress levels, symptoms started reversing without medication.
We cant choose the road we are on but we can choose how comfortable this life ride is. Have a great Tuesday!
