CERTIFIED PERSONAL TRAINER & Nutrition Coach

Through my years as a trainer and nutrition coach, I have witnessed the fitness industry become more and more saturated with nonsense and so-called experts, spreading confusing and often contradicting information. It is my mission to cut through the noise and provide you with a straight-forward, evidence based approach to training and nutrition so you can crush your goals and learn how to maintain your results long term.

My life has always evolved around sport, health and fitness. I grew up in Denmark in a family that provided me with a solid foundation of good dietary habits and a strong passion for gymnastics and physical activity in general. Real food was what's for dinner - protein, carbs, fats and veggies at every meal. No foods where forbidden, but there was a good balance and a clear distinction between everyday-foods and special occasion treats. Before I was old enough to participate, my parents would bring me to my sisters' gymnastics practices and meets and around 3 years old I joined my first toddler team and I practiced competitive gymnastics up until I started college and I was introduced to CrossFit in 2010. With the challenging technical movements, combined with the competitive elements and the heavy lifting, I was hooked at once.

I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science from the University of Copenhagen. During my time in college, I spent a year studying abroad in Mexico where I also coached CrossFit, worked as a PE teacher at an elementary school and completed my thesis on the cultural dependence on childhood obesity in Mexico. This also happens to be where I met my (now) husband who was also studying abroad (from the US) at that time. After my time in Mexico, I moved back to Denmark for a brief period to finish school and then packed my bags to start my life with my husband in the US.

Once settled in the US, I started coaching CrossFit again while I was also chasing a dream of competing at The CrossFit Games, and although I didn’t quite make it to the Games, I did qualify for the CrossFit Games Regionals as an individual in 2017 and 2018. I am proud of this accomplishment as it is a steep competition to get there, and I am grateful for what it has taught me about the mental and physical aspects of training and competition, appropriate on/off season nutrition, and last but not least about myself.

My competitive CrossFit career ended with a rotator cuff tear in 2019 and I then decided it was time to shift focus and start expanding our family. We’ve since had two boys and I have mainly been doing online nutrition coaching and training programs while staying at home with my little ones. It’s been incredible convenient and flexible, but I miss in-person coaching and being part of the unique community that you only find at a great gym like Pursuit.

Over the years my personal focus has moved from optimizing physique and performance as an athlete, to optimizing diet and recreational fitness during pregnancy, postpartum, and now, life as a busy mom. All of which have been great learning experiences that have given me more perspective and compassion to better assist others in their pursuit of dietary changes and body transformations.
